From 3 weeks to 5 days:
How a global consultancy elevated executive and client decks.

It’s not just the quality and speed.
It’s that our executive and client presentations and documents now come together much faster.

Friday afternoon decks don’t become crises anymore. Good design doesn’t slow us down.
It helps our leadership and clients see the value we bring and win.

That feels incredible.

Sarah, Programme Director at a global consultancy.

What started as a need for faster, better presentations became a smarter way to communicate, with reusable assets, greater clarity and the flexibility to keep moving when priorities changed.

HERE'S THE FULL STORY

When Sarah first came to us, she had a problem that nobody names out loud.

She had all the data. Weeks of research. Clear numbers. Real impact. Everything her executives needed to understand the project’s value was there.

But when they read the report, they didn’t feel it.

I was so focused on giving them everything that I forgot to help them understand anything. They’d scan. They’d ask clarifying questions. They looked tired.

That’s when we asked her the questions that changed everything:

  • What are the three things your executives need to understand?

  • Why does each one matter to the business?

  • What decision should follow from each insight?

Sarah paused. For the first time, she wasn’t thinking about completeness.

She was thinking about what would move the execs to act.

That's where our approach starts: finding the real value behind the information and making it impossible to miss.

THE TRANSFORMATION:

Same information.
A completely different experience.

Before: All the information was there. But the important messages were getting lost.

After: A clearer story, stronger messages and valuable content designed to scale.

I was preparing a deck for our team leads and realised I could use the results page straight from the report. It was already presentation-ready.

I also reused the programme stages infographic in another document.

This is brilliant! I'm not starting from scratch every time!

We rethought how the information was structured, what mattered most and how to make the story more impactful.

  • We brought the key messages and decisions into focus.

  • We turned complex information into a clearer visual story.

  • We created impactful visuals that made the value easier to see.

  • We built a reusable framework the team could adapt as their needs evolved.

By Friday of that first week, Sarah had a report that worked. Executives could see what mattered without needing someone to explain every detail.

The real value became clear when the next reporting cycle came around. Sarah's team already had a framework they could build on. What used to take weeks could now come together in days.

It wasn't just about saving time.

The report had become a library of reusable parts. Pages, visuals and ways of telling the story that Sarah's team could take into other projects without having to rethink everything from the beginning.

That's when Sarah realised the value went beyond a one-off deliverable. Her team now had something they could rely on, giving them more confidence, less work to repeat and more time to focus on what mattered.

Whilst you’re here, there’s something else. We’ve covered the transformation, the value, the economy of scale. But there’s one thing where most systems fail. Sarah’s didn’t:

Friday afternoon changed everything

After that last-minute call, I had to get everything consolidated and sent over before we left for the weekend.

If I change something, will I break what we've built?

If I touch the framework, will the whole thing fall apart?

The execs needed it by Monday.

It was Friday afternoon. The third report was ready for Monday's steering committee meeting. Everything was wrapped up, approved and ready to go.

Then at 3:37 PM, Sarah's phone rang.

A steering committee member had new priorities. The narrative needed changing, three key pages had to be repositioned and the information had to be ready for Monday.

Sarah wasn't just managing the report. She also had to rethink how the changes affected the story, update the data and get everything aligned.

Time was running out.

“I need to get this consolidated and sent over before we all leave for the weekend. If I change this, am I going to break what we built? If I touch the framework, does the whole thing fall apart? The execs needed it by Monday.”

Sarah knew what this meant. Another weekend spent pulling everything together, or walking into Monday's meeting with a document that didn't tell the right story. Neither was an option she wanted.

That’s when she remembered: we’re not just in London.

GLOBAL COVERAGE:

When the workday ends, progress doesn't have to.

That moment when I realised I didn’t need you to finish this. When I could actually finish it myself.

That’s when I understood. This isn’t a design service. This is infrastructure.

Sarah finished consolidating the new information on Friday evening. By Sunday, she'd secured executive approval and everything was ready for us to integrate.

But here's what mattered: when Sarah needed to move, we could move with her. Our global team meant the work didn't have to wait for Monday.

While Sarah was wrapping things up, our team in Latin America had already been preparing the report for the changes. Then, as Sunday turned into Monday, our Asia-Pacific team picked up the approved content and brought everything together.

On Monday morning, Sarah opened the report. The changes were there. The document was complete.

She made a few final wording tweaks and walked into her 9:00 AM meeting prepared and confident.

What we enabled

Clarity.

Decisions made easier.

Impact at scale.

More value from every asset.

Faster progress.

Move at market speed.

The report went to the steering committee. Clarity and value landed. Decisions moved forward. But more importantly, Sarah realised something had shifted.

What used to take weeks could now come together in days. With a reusable framework and a global team keeping things moving, tight deadlines and last-minute changes no longer meant starting from scratch. Design moved with the strategy, not against it.

Over the next quarter, pieces of that report showed up in other meetings, other decks, and other communications. The information was easier to understand, the messages were more consistent and conversations moved forward with less explaining. Executives started anticipating clarity rather than confusion.

The real change wasn't just how the report looked. It was how confidently Sarah and her team could communicate value, build trust and support decisions.

Authority compounds when communication compounds.
